Public Notice

This is a public service announcement to inform the community that the Fort Valley Police Department previously issued a press release regarding the expiration of the radar certification.  Upon further inquiry, it has been determined that the radar certification for the Fort Valley Police Department did not lapse. The department has consistently followed all necessary protocols to maintain radar certification as required by the state of Georgia. Recently, a new system for recertification was introduced, and based on the information I had at the time, I made the decision to act swiftly to protect the interests of the city and uphold transparency for our citizens.

understand that this situation may have caused concern or inconvenience, and for that, as the city of Fort Valley Police Department Chief of Police, I sincerely apologize. It is always our goal to ensure that all operations within the city are conducted with the highest level of integrity and in accordance with the law. We remain committed to serving our community with transparency and accountability, and we appreciate your understanding as we continue to navigate these processes.
